2. Overview of Processing Activities

We process personal data when you visit our website, run a hotel search, make a booking, set up a price alert, or subscribe to our newsletter.

2.1 Hosting and Server Logs

When you access our website, our hosting provider automatically collects technical data (IP address, date/time, page requested, browser type) to ensure reliable operation. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation).

2.2 Hotel Search and Booking (LiteAPI/Nuitée)

To display availability and pricing and to process bookings, we use LiteAPI/Nuitée as a processor and affiliated intermediary. When you make a booking, we transmit the data you provide (first name, last name, email address, travel dates) to LiteAPI/Nuitée and to the booked hotel, to the extent required to fulfil the contract. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (contract performance).

2.3 Price Alerts and Newsletter (Brevo)

If you set up a price alert or subscribe to our newsletter, we process your email address and the associated search parameters (destination, travel dates) using our email marketing provider Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France). Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You may withdraw your consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.

2.4 Cookies

Our website uses technically necessary cookies to enable core functionality (e.g. retaining search parameters during the booking process). Under § 25(2) TTDSG, these do not require consent. Should we introduce analytics or marketing cookies in future, we will obtain separate consent via a cookie-consent tool.

3. Recipients of Your Data

Depending on how you use the site, recipients of your data include: the booked hotel, LiteAPI/Nuitée (booking processing), Brevo (email delivery), our hosting provider, and payment service providers processing your payment. Transfers outside the EU/EEA only take place where an adequate level of data protection is ensured (e.g. via Standard Contractual Clauses).

4. Retention Period

We retain booking-related data for the duration of statutory retention periods (generally 6–10 years under German commercial and tax law). Newsletter and price alert data is retained until you withdraw your consent.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, e.g. the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision.
